Daily Dot, operated by Yash Desai, London, United Kingdom, is the controller of personal data processed through this website and the Daily Dot publishing tool (the "Service").
The Service is used only by Daily Dot to manage its own social media accounts. When an account is connected through an official platform API (for example TikTok Login Kit), we receive and store: the account's basic profile information (display name, avatar, open ID), access and refresh tokens, and information about videos we upload. We do not collect data from members of the public or from viewers of our videos.
Solely to authenticate our own accounts and to upload, schedule and publish our own videos, and to show the status of those posts. We do not sell, rent or share this data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Data is stored on a private server we control, protected by HTTPS and access controls. Tokens are kept only as long as an account remains connected.
Disconnecting an account in the Service, or revoking access in the platform's settings (for TikTok: Settings and privacy, Security and permissions, Apps and services), deletes or invalidates the stored tokens. You can also request deletion at the address below.
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
This website uses no tracking or advertising cookies. The Service uses only essential session cookies needed to sign in.
